Chicago-area freelance photographer Joshua Bennett  attended the second set of Septeto Nacional's concert at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago Illinois on October  5 and was able to arrange to take some wonderful pictures which he has generously agreed to share with us.  As we mentioned in last year's write-up of their 2011 Chicago concert , this is one of the most historically important groups in the history of the traditional urban Son and continues to demonstrate the vibrancy of the form today.  From the audience reports we received about the concert, they are still keeping the dancers on their feet as well. 

Our thanks go out to the Old Town School of Folk Music for giving Joshua permission to shoot and for continuing to be in the forefront of venues bringing Cuban music to Chicago.
