ENGLISH: 2018 keeps on giving and now one of Cuba's most popular young singers - Yordys Larrazabal - is putting the finishing touches on his solo album, and you can't beat the title, "Esto Me Huele A Éxito" [This Smells Like Success To Me]. The album is being released on the MBRecord label, and I was chatting with Yordys today and he told us a little of what we can expect.

The album has 10 songs: 8 of my authorship, a version of a song by maestro Juan Formell, "Tú me haces falta" and another song by a friend, the pianist of Sur Caribe - Rubert La Rosa - "La ley". Arrangers, look ... Manolito Simonet, Joaquin Betancourt, Maykel Blanco, Alfonso Espinosa, Lazarito Valdés, Roelvis Reyes "Bombon", Maykel García "Cuchilla", Yusef Díaz + your servant! Musicians who recorded: many and madrina there were 29! On piano Rolando Luna and others that you might know. The thing is that there are a lot of them, but it was a pure pleasure! And a violin and cello section! Anyway, I tried to give the album a feel of my world and myself! You'll hear influences from Funk, Rock, something very simple from R&B and my strenth, my timba! ESPAÑOL: 2018 sigue dando y ahora uno de los cantantes jóvenes más populares de Cuba, Yordys Larrazabal, está dando los últimos toques a su álbum en solitario, y no se puede superar el título, "Esto Me Huele A Éxito". El álbum se está lanzando en la etiqueta MBRecord, y hoy estaba chateando con Yordys y nos contó un poco de lo que podemos esperar.

El disco cuenta con 10 temas, 8 de mi autoría, una versión de una canción del maestro Juan Formell, "Tú me haces falta" y otro tema de un amigo, pianista de la orquesta Sur Caribe - Rubert La Rosa - "La ley". Arreglistas, mira...Manolito Simonet, Joaquin Betancourt, Maykel Blanco, Alfonso Espinosa, Lazarito Valdés, Roelvis Reyes "Bombon", Maykel García "Cuchilla", Yusef Díaz + un servidor! Músicos que grabaron, muchísimos y madrina que fueron 29! Contando en los pianos a Rolando Luna y otros que quizás conoces. Es que son muchos pero un puro placer! Cuerdas de violines y chelos! En fin, traté de llevarlo a mi terreno que huela a mí! Ahí escucharás influencias de Funk, Rock, algo muy sencillo de R&B y mi fuerte, mi timba! YORDIS LARRAZABAL

Yasser's new CD is out now at the usual on-line stores and streaming sites. It will also be released later on hard copy! It is actually higher on the release list than Maluma (or at least it was earlier today). I just finished my first complete listen of the CD and the arrangements are excellent. It's definitely a dancer's album. Some of the songs we've heard at YouTube already such as Amor sin obligación, Baja tu velocidad, Otra oportunidad and Songo Cerra'o, which is included as a bonus track. Of the ones I haven't heard before, I really like La Resistencia, La Misión, Laborando, Que No Me Den De Esa Cosa, Fallste and La H No Es Muda.  I'm very curious about what La H No Es Muda is about. I understand what he's saying, but I don't get it. Maybe it's a Cuban thing. Some beautiful trombone and trumpet solos on the album. First-rate piano playing. I will be posting a full review later when I've had a chance to listen a few times and digest. Right now I'm just tasting. I have posted the comments by Yasser himself from the disc insert below, so he can answer the question "What is this second production for me?"

El nuevo CD de Yasser ya está disponible en las habituales tiendas en línea y sitios de streaming. ¡También será lanzado más tarde en copia impresa! En realidad es más alto en la lista de lanzamientos que Maluma (o al menos fue hace unas horas). Acabo de eschucar el CD completo por primera vez y los arreglos son excelentes. Definitivamente es un álbum hecho para bailadores. Algunas de las canciones que ya hemos escuchado en YouTube son Amor sin obligación, Baja tu velocidad, Otra oportunidad y Songo Cerra'o, que se incluye como bonus. De los que no he escuchado antes, me gustan mucho La Resistencia, La Misión, Laborando, Que No Me Den De Esa Cosa, Fallste y La H No Es Muda. Tengo mucha curiosidad sobre lo que trata La H No Es Muda. Entiendo lo que dice la letra, pero no entiendo que significa. Tal vez es algo cubano. Hay algunos hermosos solos de trombón y trompeta en el álbum. Piano de primer nivel. Publicaré una reseña completa más tarde cuando haya tenido la oportunidad de escuchar algunas veces y digerir. En este momento solo estoy saboreando. He publicado los comentarios del mismísimo Yasser en el inserto del disco a continuación, para que pueda responder la pregunta "¿Qué es esta segunda producción para mí?"

ENGLISH: "La Resistencia", the second release by Yasser Ramos, is coming to digital retailers on August 16th but is already available for pre-order at iTunes! Below is a teaser of the track "A Mi Que No Me Den De Esa Cosa" featuring Alexander Abreu. The album contains 13 tracks plus the bonus track "Songo Cerra'o", which Yasser recorded with Mandy Cantero and has been a hit for months now.

ESPAÑOL: "La Resistencia", el segundo disco de Yasser Ramos, llegará a los minoristas digitales el 16 de agosto pero ¡ya está disponible para preordinar en iTunes! A continuación hay un adelanto de la canción "A Mi Que No me Den De Esa Cosa" con Alexander Abreu.
