UPDATE: New video by Tom Ehrlich - "Havana D' Primera... SABROSO" - A Latin Jazz descarga loosely based on Cachao's "Las Boinas". Here Alexander employs a clever call and response maneuver with his trumpet and the audience, after taking a monster solo. Piano and percussion solos follow.

The first of three Tom Ehrlich galleries of Havana d'Primera in the Bay Area is now up: Friday at Yoshi's SF. Still to come are Saturday at Yoshi's SF and Tuesday at Kuumbwa Jazz Center. And don't forget Peter Maiden's great work from the Saturday show. Finally, several more super high resolution, LPM-mastered videos are coming soon.

New song by Alexander Abreu & Havana D' Primera called "Rosa La Peligrosa", which will be included in their third album. One peculiarity of this song is that during the main coro section Alexander and the other singers lift one fist and turn, as if they were revving up a motorcycle. You will see it when they sing "Trabájala" (for example at 4:58).
