ENGLISH:  Escape, the debut album by Alberto Lescay & FORMAS, has just been released in both Cuba and several international digital stores.   This project represents the best of the best of the NuJazz movement in Cuba, and its release was accompanied with justifiable fanfare in the media in Cuba as well as a presentation concert in the Museo de Bellas Artes in La Habana, the perfect venue considering that the Lescay family is also distinguished in the plastic arts.  If you speak Spanish, you can listen to Rabio Rebelde's podcast special here:

ENGLISH: Pedro Ordoñez "Papucho" y Manana Club open their inaugural European tour tonight at Peña Festayre in Paris. They are one of the most exciting young bands in Havana and have a large following internationally, but this will be the first opportunities that many of us have had to see them en directo! This tour will take them to France and Italy.

Papucho y Manana Club have released two full length CDs "Contra La Pared" (2012) and "Respeta" (2017) as well as an EP - "Mi Manana" - in 2015. Catch them if you have a chance! Everyone I have spoken to who has seen them in Havana has become an instant fan.
