III INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF POPULAR AND FORMAL DANCES - THE UNIVERSE DANCES WITH CUBA

INFORMATION
Cuban Folkloric Company JJ, directed by the Master and First Dancer of the National Folkloric Group of Cuba, Johannes García, and the Commercial Agency of the Performing Arts (ESCENARTE) invite all the Cuban and foreign people interested in participating in the III International Meeting of Cuban Popular and Formal Dances that will be held in Havana City from September 26th to October the 2nd, 2005

REQUIREMENTS
• • • All the dancers, Dance Academies and Companies will be able to participate. Professional dancers interested in the Cuban popular dances can attend with previous registration payment.

• • • You will compete in the modalities of solo, dancing partner, groups and or any other initiative, due to the interests of the Cuban popular dance. (Salsa)

• • • Those credited will be able to attend the workshops, debates, lectures and masterful classes, as well as to the best shows of our dance companies that have traveled the world in the last period.

REWARDS
Six categories of Prizes such as art works and diplomas will be delivered. Participation certificates will be granted for the assistants to the event, as well as to the Dancing Academies and their professors; study scholarships in the JJ CIA for a period of three months.
It will be granted a unique reward for first time to the best Cia. of professional dance that presents a work on the Cuban popular dances, unique prize for the best couple in the Casino dance (Salsa) and a unique prize to the best Rueda de Casino.

REGISTRATION FEES
Nationals: 300.00 MN (personal) or 500.00 MN (couple)

Foreigners: 300 CUC (personal) or 500 CUC (couple)

It includes welcome and farewell cocktails, a visit to the Museum of la Santería and on Saturday to La Rumba in the ORICHAS and to participate in the activities of the theater headquarter every night.

Those people interested in the event will be able to make official their registration in ESCENARTE located in Calle 6 No.111 e / 1ra. y 3ra. Miramar, Ciudad de La Habana.
