I first saw Jannier singing as corista with Paulo F.G at a concert in Copenhagen in 2003. At one point Paulo turned the satge over to him and he sang lead on a merengue. The next I heard, Jannier had joined Los Que Son Son. He became well known to timba fans for his recording of the hit "La Balla de Billy". After a few years with Pupy's group he left and surfaced again as a corista this time with the hottest new band of 2007, Alexander Abreu and Havana D'Primera. Jannier seems to have an uncanny ability to find his way to the most talked about bands. [Michelle White]
