This young drummer has already played drums with Issac Delgado and Pupy Pedroso. He was Issac's drummer during the Cucurucho/Frank Rubio period. He was the drummer on the now legendary bootleg version of "El Solar de la California" with Mayito Van Van. He was replaced when drummer Oscarito Valdés, Jr. was brought in as musical director. Bombón landed on his feet and is now playing with another of Havana's hottest bands. [Kevin Moore]

Bombón is Pupy's right hand man with los que son son. He is the head of the rhythm section and has written many of the arrangements on recent albums. When Pupy began working with Janne "Yanesito" Bogdan on the Soneros All Stars "La Timba Soy Yo" album, he put Bombón in charge of writing all the arrangements. Bombón is one of the hottest young musicians in Cuba right now.
