Concert Report - 2006 West Coast Tour - Los cantantes
Tomasito has been trying to incorporate singer Adonis Puentes into the group for a long time and this time the visas finally worked out. As everyone knows, it's not easy to get a musician into the United States from that neighboring country whose name begins with "C" and ends with "A" ... you know the one ... CANADA. Adonis and his twin brother, songwriter Alexis Puentes have lived there since 1995 but Adonis is planning on permanently relocating to Miami.
Adonis Puentes
Adonis Puentes & Yordamis Megret
Adonis sings lead on his brother's song Pintura, and Muchacha, a beautiful song by Angel "Pututi II" Arce. Tomasito played on the original recording of this song in 1999 on Mi realidad by Joaquín "El Kid" Díaz.
Freddy "El Moro" Cárdenas
Yordamis Megret & Freddy Cárdenas
Completing the front line is Freddy "El Moro" Cárdenas, who also sings with Edwin Bonilla y su Son. Born in Cuba, Freddy arrived in Miami at age 7. He sings lead on Candela, and is a solid corista and dancer with lots of stage presence.
