Study - Timba Gears "Reelin' in the Gears" - Late 1998

Late 1998 - location unknown
piano: Yaniel Matos "El Majá"

When Melón González moved to Spain, Pepe Rivero returned to Issac to fill the piano spot and Paulito replaced him with Yaniel Matos "El Majá". Majá had been playing (and recording) with Ángel Bonne. Ironically, Majá later joined Issac to replace Pepe when the latter followed Alain Pérez to Madrid. It was Majá, now in Brazil, who invented, among others, the extraordinary piano tumbao on Issac's Grammy-nominated song "La fórmula", which was arranged by Joel Domínguez, the bass player on all these recordings.
