FINALLY in LOS ANGELES! The CONGA ROOM has officially announced ALEXANDER ABREU & HAVANA d' PRIMERA for a THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15 performance! THE BUZZ IS ON! Tix are only $20 now, but I've been advised those prices may go up closer to show date! For tix: www.congaroom.com. (Knowing that they'll be up in the Bay later in the month, I'll bet some Southern Californians won't be able to resist traveling north on that long Thanksgiving weekend for another hit of this awesome band!)

On SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24 he'll be featured with the AFRO CUBAN JAZZ PROJECT which includes former MARACA trumpet player JOSIEL PÉREZ, along with FERMÍN SIFONTES on keyboards, SAWA PÉREZ on bass, BRIAN DE LA FÉ on congas at VITELLO's JAZZ & SUPPER CLUB in the Studio City area of L.A.

Hello HDP fans....great news...the visas have been signed and approved. Lehman Center cancelled the November 9nth show but it has been replaced with 2 shows at Sounds of Brazil (S.O.B.s) in New York !!!

For the Thursday, November 8th show, doors open at 7:30pm and the show is at 9pm. For the Friday, November 9nth show, doors open at 11pm and the show is at 12 midnight. Do not get confused....there is a Happy Hour show listed on the SOBs website for that same Friday the 9nth, but that is from 5 to 8pm. The HDP show is at MIDNIGHT.

The Saturday, November 10nth show immediately follows the SOBs dates with the addition of TIRSO DUARTE.

Don't believe the naysayers. There is no raining on THIS parade. The visas are in place and We Want TIMBA! Now that we are waiting for official confirmation that Los Van Van is cancelled at the Lehman Center we are anxiously expecting Havana D' Primera and Tirso. To ease our concerns here's a new video salute by Tirso inviting us to the special concert with Alexander Abreu y Havana D' Primera.

Victoria-Hadar is unique to the New York and New Jersey latin dance scene. She has specialized in Latin dancing for over 18 years and has learned to dance with top teachers in Europe and Cuba – including with the Cuban national dance company Ban Rra Rra. She currently teaches cuban dance classes in both NY and NJ.
