Cuba based rap duo, Zona Franka, blends traditional rhythms with the grit and swagger of hip-hop and rap vocal phrasings. Their clever shout choruses create instant tropical dance classics using their unique self-titled "changui con flow" style.

DISC TWO
cuban music, musica cubana

Timba fans are always debating Manolín's music -- is it worthy of being included among the very greatest Timba, or as some would have it, is he an inferior artist to Issac, Paulito, Charanga Habanera et al?

For those who would plead Manolín's case, the second set of the El puente concert is the new Exhibit A. El Médico shows us his most spirited and professional side, and the six songs offer such an overwhelming concentration of great musical ideas, executed with such precision and dramatic pacing, that it's hard to imagine any red-blooded Timbero not being completely blown away and won over.
