A stupendously great drummer. His role in the Trabuco is similar to Samuel's in Los Van Van. The rhythm section consists of gúiro, congas, and Roicel, who plays timbales and traps at once with amazing energy and virtuosity, but always with perfect taste. He's left-handed, which actually lends itself perfectly to the standard timba drum setup with the timbales to the left of the drumset. Seeing Manolito live, with Roicel Riverón on drums, is an incredible experience that no one should miss! [Kevin Moore]

Roicel Riverón estudió en la ENA la especialidad de trombón, pero su carrera profesional se ha desarrollado en el drums. Tocó durante algún tiempo con el grupo de Tamayito, justo antes de incorporarse al Trabuco, con el que ha grabado sus últimos 2 CDs. También ha participado en otras co-producciones discográficas realizadas en Cuba.[Majela Serrano]
