Cuba based rap duo, Zona Franka, blends traditional rhythms with the grit and swagger of hip-hop and rap vocal phrasings. Their clever shout choruses create instant tropical dance classics using their unique self-titled "changui con flow" style.

Eduardo Mora was the Trabuco's rock-solid bassist since the very beginning and also recorded on many of Manolito Simonet's side projects. Tragically he died in September of 2005. In May 2007 Bill Wolfer of Mamborama published a moving account of his visit to Mora's tomb with friend and Manolito flautist David Bencomo. Here is a small excerpt: "Ay, la vida! I told Mora as I said goodbye, that he will always be with us through the recordings he made. David said that Mora could say more with just three notes than other bass players could with a thousand. It's true." Click here to read Bill's entire post from May 14, 2007.
