From the Timba perspective, Carlos Alvarez is most significant for his work with Klimax, but he's also one of the two or three most sought after trombonists in Havana. He's recorded all of Cubanismo's albums and is still touring regularly with the band. He's also been brought in as a studio musician on countless recordings.
