search engine utf8 and forum html editor

Hi, I try to search orquesta Révé with the search engine “google custom search” on the front page. It didn’t find any résult, probably due to an encoding problem somewhere. “Your search – oquesta révé – did not match any documents. Suggestions:
Btw, is it possible to have an html editor for the forums posts ? thxs |

I will ask Mike about the code page for the search engine. Obvioulsy it isn’t taking national characters right now. There are some formatting coomands avaiable for the form but I expect you’ve sen that I don’t know exactly what formats you’d like to be able to use but here’s what we have right now

Hi Michelle, ok thanks, it’s more easy with code explanation above the edit form. (I didn’t see it when I post my first msg). the code seems to be some kind of wiki code, not very usual to encounter it in a forum but it work. I’m sure its possible to build an extension to authorize html or bb code like most of the others forums on the web, but too bad, I’m not a developper… I hope its possible to modify the google search form to accept national characters, there’s a lot in cuban music… cheers |

Well thanks for bringing it to our attention. Mike has passed it on to our technical guy so depending on his workload I hope we can announce a new improved search tool soon. |
