Hi Chris! Glad you have joined us here in our little forum. It will be interesting to see what kind of topics people want to talk about. Most forums split into Music thread versus Dance thread. To me the two are so intertwined it’s hard to talk about one without talking about the other.

Thanks everyone. We still ahve lots of plans on how to keep developing the site. Most important is your input as well.

Yeah Chris I noticed the Avatar problem yesterday and it was reported to our administator ;-)

Seems they are up for now so lets hope it’s fixed…we’ll see what we can do to turn our administator into an administrator :-)

They’re working on the avatars. Did anyone go to Pepito’s recent Miami show? Everyone was raving about Hilario Bell on drums (the guy from Tiempo Libre) and some young conga phenom who was supposed to be absolutely brilliant. Trying to figure out who he is.

Just remember that we all love you because of the content not the shining buttons… ;-) And speaking of content am i just missing or a lot of old stuff isnt yet integrated? Was searching for those great articles about Los Van Van and Roots of Timba but could not find it…

In any case, good luck and be sure i will come often!

edit: oh i just found the Roots of Timba in Timbapedia part, ok but question still stands, is everything that was on old page integrated into new one or are there parts that are missing?

Everything has been painstakingly converted form the ofl to the new site. The educational articles should be accessible either from the Group page of the band that they pertain to and/or from the Timbapedia which is the sort of encyclopedia of Kevin’s articles and other informational articles about timba as well as as a place for interviews that we didn’t quiet know where to link and other miscellaneous stuff. The links at the very bottom of the page may also help you to find things tat aren’t obvious in the main top menu.

Some of the stuff may not show up as button on the artists left-hand menu but in the Table of contents that pops up on the right hand side when an article has several pages.

If you do find something that is actually missing please let us know. It’s not impossible that we missed something somewhere or that there may be some broken links. I see our avatar problem is back.

And it really is great to talk to all of you because i was reading for some time your page and your articles and i was truly amazed in how you guys really rock! ;-)))

And if i find any bug/broken link be sure i will report it. You should mybe make a special topic in forum only for that kind of technical things, i am sure it would be useful for organization.
